The Immigration Compliance and Investigations branch have a permanent opportunity in the investigation team based in Auckland.
It is a unique opportunity to join Immigration Compliance Investigation and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment at a time of growth. We offer the successful candidate the chance to be part of a new era in Immigration with a focus on regulatory expertise in an intelligence informed environment.
The team sits within Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and are tasked with preventing and responding to immigration related offending and non-compliance.

Skills and Experience Required
Sound understanding and application of NZ legislation in investigation and prosecution processes
The ability to support vulnerable complainants and witnesses through the investigation and prosecution process
Excellent communication skills, ability to manage risk and maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues
An analytical thinker with experience in planning and undertaking complex criminal investigations prosecutions in a team environment
To be eligible for this role, applicants must be NZ citizens or hold permanent residence.
