Role Overview
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading WPIA’s enterprise technology strategy and day-to-day IT operations. This role ensures that systems, infrastructure, ERP platforms, and cybersecurity capabilities are reliable, secure, and scalable to support business operations and growth.
The role owns the ERP roadmap, with Deacom ERP strongly preferred, while also leveraging transferable experience across other leading manufacturing ERP platforms.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Leadership & Optimization
Serve as primary SME for ERP environment (Deacom preferred)
Lead ERP implementation, optimization, governance, and enhancements
Support formulation, BOMs, purchasing, production, shipping, inventory, and lot traceability
Customize ERP forms and reports using JavaScript
Support WMS, scanners, labeling, and inventory accuracy
Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
Architect and maintain enterprise data models
Develop dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
Write complex SQL queries and DAX measures
Improve cost, margin, inventory, and operational visibility
Infrastructure, Security & Governance
Oversee hybrid cloud environment (Azure, Office 365)
Own cybersecurity strategy, access controls, and IT governance
Lead audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation
Manage MSP relationship for Tier 2/3 support
Development & Automation
Develop automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, and HTML
Integrate third-party tools with internal systems
Leadership & Collaboration
Manage and mentor internal IT staff
Lead vendors and ERP partners
Partner with Finance, Operations, Production, and Quality leaders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
10+ years of IT leadership experience in manufacturing, co-pack, or logistics environments. Deep ERP experience required (Deacom strongly preferred).
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
