IT Generalist
Position Title
The IT Generalist of The Sanctuary Foster Care Services, a non-profit charitable corporation, incorporated in the State of Texas, and operating in Houston, TX and surrounding areas.
Line of Responsibility
The IT Generalist shall be responsible for tasks needed to assist all Departments and all locations with The Sanctuary Foster Care Services and will directly report to the Senior Operations Director.
List of Duties
· Provide general IT support to staff and, when needed, diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Work with experts to design an overall technology strategy across different departments.
• Oversee facility maintenance and moves
• oversee current software training and implementation

· Provide orientation and guidance to user on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
· Help with onboarding and offboarding of all new employees, including installation all new technology for the company or for new hires.
· Perform local security officer and system administrator duties to ensure staff have appropriate system access.
· Advance knowledge and understanding of software application used by the team.
· Work with vendors and staff to complete a variety of IT security maintenance tasks, including:
· Email security
· Firewall security
· Cloud services security
· Multi-factor authentication
· Lead cybersecurity auditing and compliance-related activities, including threat detection and response.
· Understand and configure encryption technologies.
· Oversee the cybersecurity of our computing assets, including all laptops (Including remote maintenance) and server infrastructure.
· Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer network.
· Understanding on how to integrate different company software systems so agency data can be pulled for reports.
· Use current technology such as AI to assist and increase department efficiency and accuracy.

The IT Generalist will deal directly with confidential material. It will be his/her responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of such material in the strictest manner. Any violations of the confidentiality of records or information can result in immediate dismissal for cause.
Pay: $26.44 - $31.00 per hour
