Roles & Responsibilities:
You will be working with our client who are well-renowned in the public and financial sectors. Seeking an experienced Unix Engineer with strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and associated technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our RHEL environments, OpenShift clusters, JBoss application servers, and Red Hat Satellite infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, testing, and production environments
• Design, implement, and support OpenShift container platforms
• Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers
• Utilize Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and configuration management
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and operations
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, with a focus on RHEL
• Strong knowledge of OpenShift container platform administration
• Experience with JBoss application server management
• Proficiency in using Red Hat Satellite for system management
• Advanced knowledge of RHEL system administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)
• Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or higher)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with database administration (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
