Position Title: Accounts Payable Consultant Location: Bangalore, KA -India Job Purpose To coordinate and manage less complex Accounts & Freight Payable projects with reporting and monitoring key metrics. Job Duties This is an entry-level management position whose key role is to manage less complex projects, track and report metrics and to assist service center supervisors and section manager in more complex projects. While working independently, the incumbent relies on their direct supervisor and service center supervisors for advice and direction when necessary. At times the position will direct internal salaried support staff. The position utilizes many systems including but not limited to CAPS (Corporate Accounts Payable System). CFPS (Corporate Freight Payable System), SAP, My Supply Cabinet, Apex FirstStrike and Microsoft Office. Additional job duties for this position may include some of the following: EDI project work - including communicating with suppliers, carriers, facilities, A&FP; personnel, procurement and transportation. Onboard EDI transactions and testing with suppliers, carriers and facilities. Analyze EDI data for compatibility and grief resolution. Mach 1 transformation project work. Perform SOX testing to include, but not limited to communicating requirements. Responsible for population of Process control data, secure evidential documentation, monitor various deadlines to include remediation, and attend ICC meetings. Ensure process documentation and procedures are updated and maintained for the department. Maintain data integrity on the A&FP; process documentation website. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems that may not be obvious. Solve problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions. The incumbent is free to determine the best way to complete job assignments in order to achieve desired results. The team or supervisor gives general instructions on what needs to be done, when it needs to be done and how it is typically done. The jobholder knows in advance the details of what needs to be done to serve customers and the standard procedures in place to accomplish it. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, etc. Typical internal customers include various contacts throughout Caterpillar worldwide and its subsidiaries. External contacts include various customers, dealers and vendors throughout worldwide markets. Travel requirements - Minimal travel may be required. Background/Experience Education - The position typically requires a college degree or equivalent experience. Experience - The position requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of the Accounts & Freight Payable process and systems. Skills - Personal computer skills and familiarity with various software packages is required.
