Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Jewellery Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality jewellery products that meet our clients’ needs and specifications. The ideal candidate should have a passion for jewellery design and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the industry.
As a jewelry designer, your tasks may include the following:
Design Concept Development: Brainstorm and create innovative jewelry design concepts based on inspiration, market trends, client preferences, and brand identity.
Sketching and Rendering: Use traditional or digital tools to sketch and create detailed renderings of your jewelry designs, showcasing various angles, materials, and gemstone placements.
Material and Gemstone Selection: Research and select appropriate materials, metals, gemstones, and other components to bring your designs to life, considering their quality, durability, aesthetics, and cost.
Technical Drawings: Coordinate with the cad designer, specifying dimensions, materials, and construction details. These drawings serve as guidelines for manufacturing.
Prototyping: Work closely with jewelry artisans or manufacturers to create physical prototypes of your designs, ensuring that they accurately represent your vision and meet the desired quality standards.
Design Modifications: Collaborate with clients, buyers, or team members to incorporate their feedback and make necessary adjustments to your designs, ensuring they align with the desired aesthetics, functionality, and market requirements.
Quality Control: Inspect and evaluate the quality of finished jewelry pieces, ensuring they meet the defined standards in terms of craftsmanship, gemstone settings, and overall design integrity.
Production Oversight: Provide guidance and supervision during the production process to ensure that your designs are faithfully replicated, maintaining consistent quality throughout the manufacturing stage.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, sales, and production, to understand their requirements and align your designs with the overall brand strategy. Effectively communicate your design intent and provide necessary information to stakeholders.
