Job Title: Atlassian Administrator/ DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
The Atlassian Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of various Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other related applications. The Atlassian Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective utilization and optimization of these tools to support project management, collaboration, and software development processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer and configure Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other relevant applications, to meet the organization's requirements.
• Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Atlassian tools, ensuring proper access controls and security measures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide guidance on configuring and customizing Atlassian tools to support their workflows and processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain workflows, templates, custom fields, screens, and other configuration settings in Atlassian tools.
• Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize the performance of Atlassian applications.
• Provide end-user support and training on Atlassian tools, including creating documentation and conducting training sessions.
• Integrate Atlassian tools with other systems and tools used within the organization, such as CI/CD pipelines, chat platforms, and version control systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest features, enhancements, and best practices related to Atlassian tools and recommend improvements and optimizations.
• Collaborate with vendors and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades and migrations.
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an Atlassian Administrator or similar role, with a deep understanding of Atlassian tools, their administration, and configuration.
Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian applications, including their features, integrations, and best practices.
Experience with managing user access controls, permissions, and security settings in Atlassian tools.
Familiarity with software development processes, project management methodologies, and collaboration practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) and understanding of REST APIs for automating and extending Atlassian tool functionality.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Atlassian certification(s) such as Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator, or Atlassian Certified Professional is a plus.
