About Us:
RapidQS is rapidly becoming the leading estimating firm in the country, specializing in supporting smaller residential builders with their pre-contract estimating needs. We’re in a growth phase and are on the lookout for a top-notch estimator/ QS to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor at RapidQS, you’ll work with a variety of plans to quantify and price materials, labor, P&G and estimates for subtrades that would be required. You’ll also handle labor-only estimates. This role is 100% remote, allowing you the freedom to work from anywhere in New Zealand. Our team of Estimators is spread across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quantify and price materials, labor, P&G and subtrade estimates from sets of plans.
- Prepare labor-only estimates.
- Focus primarily on initial costs to help builders secure projects.
- No involvement in variations, payment claims, or interactions with sub trades and merchants.

What We’re Looking For:
- Building experience with a solid understanding of market rates. Ideally an ex-builder with estimating experience
- Ability to hit the ground running and produce accurate estimates quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to estimating.
