History Teacher
Indian Women Impact, an esteemed NGO committed to providing quality education to underprivileged students, is seeking a dynamic and passionate History teacher to join our team. We strive to make history come alive and engage students through practical exposure, visits to museums and historical sites, and the creation of a YouTube channel for interactive historical experiments.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement innovative and interactive history lessons that capture students’ interest and curiosity.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including practical demonstrations, role-playing, storytelling, multimedia resources, and group activities, to make history relatable and engaging.
• Arrange educational visits to museums, historical sites, and cultural landmarks to provide students with practical exposure and enhance their understanding of historical events and contexts.
• Create and manage a YouTube channel dedicated to historical experiments, reenactments and discussions, encouraging students to actively participate and contribute.
• Foster critical thinking and analytical skills by encouraging students to interpret primary and secondary historical sources and engage in historical debates and discussions.
• Incorporate technology and digital tools to facilitate interactive learning experiences, such as virtual tours and interactive timelines.
• Provide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their unique learning needs and promoting academic growth.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to integrate historical concepts into interdisciplinary projects and foster a holistic educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and performance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in history education or working with underprivileged students.
• In-depth knowledge of historical events, cultures, and civilizations.
• Passion for teaching history and the ability to make the subject captivating and relevant to students’ lives.
• Creativity and innovative thinking to design interactive and practical learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with technology integration and digital learning tools.
• Enthusiasm for organizing educational visits and field trips.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to the organization’s mission of empowering underprivileged students through education.
Job Types: Regular / Permanent, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary
Salary: ₹+,842.37 – ₹10,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
• Jaipur, Rajasthan: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
