About The Company
Our client is a publicly traded business development company investing in middle market companies with over $2 billion in AUM. The Junior Accountant will report to the Controller of the team.
Responsibilities
Assist in the quarterly financial close and help prepare the reporting of the firm’s 10Q and 10K
Assist with the reviewing of new GAAP and regulatory requirements including technical accounting research and interpretation
Work closely with the investment team for the completion of the quarterly investment valuation process for financial reporting
Liaise with external auditors and tax firms to ensure timely completion of annual audit and tax filings
Work closely with external auditors and third-party fund administrator for timely reporting of quarterly 468 filings and 1031 filings
Weekly cash flow analysis and planning
Assist with the preparation of monthly interest invoices and manage the distribution of all interest invoices to borrowers
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
2-3 years of accounting experience
Public accounting experience preferred
Strong Excel skills
Ability to work within strict timelines and handle multiple tasks
