Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and dedicated Junior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will manage the accounts receivable and payable functions, support month-end and year-end closing processes, and conduct thorough account analysis and reconciliations.

This role is based onsite Monday to Friday at our Richmond, BC office. Candidates must be able to commute to our office or able to relocate in order to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and GL account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
Manage revenue, expenses, and accrual batches in Great Plains, maintaining compliance and accuracy
Process intercompany transfers and reconcile related transactions
Perform accounts receivable tasks, including preparing customer statements, invoice consolidation, and account reconciliations
Support collections for delinquent accounts, maintaining detailed communication records and facilitating timely payments
Generate weekly and monthly accounts receivable reports to provide insights into collections performance
Complete accounts payable duties, including vendor account management, payment processing, and statement reconciliations
Provide timely cross-departmental accounting support, including analysis, internal controls, and process improvements
Required Experience and Skills:
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with exposure to core accounting functions
Postsecondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Active enrollment in the Canadian CPA program is required
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel (including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and advanced formulas)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Salesforce is an asset
Experience managing accounts across multiple currencies or international operations is an asset
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Motivated self-starter who is proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful
Strong relationship-building ability, providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders
Compensation: The salary range for this position is from $65,000 annually.
