Job Description
As a Junior Accountant at Homemonde, you will be responsible for assisting the accounting department in various financial tasks. Your primary focus will be to support accurate and timely financial record-keeping, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
• Assist in maintaining and updating financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payment transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in monitoring and reconciling petty cash expenses.
Financial Reporting:
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in analyzing financial data and generating reports to aid in decision-making processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the development and maintenance of budgeting and forecasting models.
• Help analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control and optimization.
Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits and financial reviews.
• Help maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support financial analysis as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide assistance when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial concepts, and procedures.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word).
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
