Summary:
As a Junior Accountant, you will play an essential role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our company. You will work closely with Finance Director to maintain accurate financial records, assist with the preparation of financial reports, and ensure that all accounting functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records by entering transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice entry and vendor payments.
Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Assist with onboarding and processing of freelancers
Assist with payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
Help track company expenses and aid with budgeting and financial forecasting for events and company.
Assist with year-end audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Assist with year-ending Tax reports
Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships or entry-level positions are welcome).
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite.) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in the live events or theatre industry is a plus, but not required
