Overview
Jade Tours is a leading travel company providing travel services to travel agents and passengers. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Accounting Assistant to join our Head Office in Richmond Hill.
Job Responsibilities
Process payment transactions, including wires, EFT, and cheques
Perform month-end closing activities, such as preparing journal entries
Perform month-end fiscal month roll-over procedures
Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot billing discrepancies and misapplied cash transactions
Analyze supplier payable and customer receivable reports
Follow up on outstanding payment with customers
Identify and communicate discrepancies, collaborate on adjustments and corrections for missing payment approvals
Process disbursements to travel vendors and customers
Perform various daily and monthly account reconciliations
Conduct a comprehensive analysis of incentive commission calculations based on respective collective agreements and administrative guidelines
Analyze supplier statements, resolving payment discrepancies and addressing supplier inquiries
Carry out duties such as filing hard and soft copies of reports, supporting documents, vouchers, etc.
Qualifications
Accounting diploma or higher
1-3 years of experience in the field of accounting
Ability to multi-task, handle a high volume of work, meet deadlines, and exhibit strong problem-solving skills, capable to work independently
Excellent communication, customer service, and telephone skills
Positive and professional attitude
Strong working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with the Travcom Accounting System is considered an asset
Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Cantonese
