We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Databricks Data Engineer to join our high-impact client delivery teams. This role is designed for early-career professionals eager to build their expertise in cloud data engineering. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and architects, gaining hands-on experience in developing data pipelines, integrating data from diverse sources, and supporting business-critical analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing and developing ETL pipelines using Databricks and cloud-native tools.
Support the ingestion and processing of structured and unstructured data across batch and streaming sources.
Collaborate with team members to translate business requirements into data engineering solutions.
Learn and apply techniques for data transformation, quality checks, and monitoring.
Contribute to system testing, troubleshooting, and performance improvements under senior guidance.
Key Skills
0–2 years of hands-on experience (including internships, projects, or coursework) in data engineering or software development.
Basic knowledge of Databricks, Spark, or similar data processing frameworks.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (SQL, Python, or PySpark).
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Strong problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in collaborative teams.
Good communication skills and openness to client-facing discussions.
Nice to Have (Good to Learn On the Job)
Exposure to Databricks features (DLT, Job Workflows, Unity Catalog).
Awareness of cloud-native services such as AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, or DataOps principles.
