We are seeking a energetic junior developer consultant with experience in vibe coding for a client based out of Lower Manhattan. This is a 1099 contract position without benefits. The contract will last at least 6-12 months with opportunity to extend second year. or conversion to fulltime. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of programming languages and technologies, with a strong focus on software development using Claude or Cursor. This role is ideal for recent graduates with Comp Sci or similar degrees. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our company's web applications, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and meet the highest standards of quality. You must have architect experience.
**Duties**
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable web and in house applications using vibe coding methods (Claude, Cursor, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Develop and implement new features and functionality, as well as improve existing ones.
- Write clean, readable, and well-documented code, following best practices and adhering to our coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work closely with our DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of applications.
- Implement and maintain database structures using SQL and Oracle.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development, and apply this knowledge to improve our applications and processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
**Experience**
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development principles.
- Experience with Azure, Oracle Cloud is plus.
- Experience with C++ and software development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with code reviews and contributing to open-source projects.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
