Job Description
A Junior Interior Designer with a focus on furniture assists in designing and planning interior spaces, emphasizing the selection, placement, and customization of furniture. The role involves collaborating with senior designers and clients to create functional, stylish, and cohesive environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Furniture Selection & Layout: Assist in selecting furniture pieces that align with the design concept, considering style, function, and budget. Develop space plans and layout options to optimize furniture placement.
Design Support: Support senior designers in creating mood boards, 3D visualizations, and detailed drawings of furniture arrangements and room designs.
Material & Fabric Coordination: Research and recommend suitable materials, finishes, and fabrics for furniture that complement the overall interior design scheme.
Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings to understand project needs and preferences and present furniture ideas and options.
Vendor Coordination: Work with furniture suppliers and manufacturers to obtain samples, quotes, and custom design solutions. Track orders and coordinate deliveries.
Skills: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit), strong knowledge of furniture styles and space planning, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Familiarity with materials and fabric properties is beneficial.
