Job description
Key Responsibilities:
• Tool Design and Development: Design and develop molds and tooling for injection molding and other plastic manufacturing processes to meet production requirements.
• Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of existing molds to enhance performance and minimize downtime.
• Process Optimization: Analyze tooling processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and design teams to troubleshoot issues related to tooling and ensure alignment with product specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of tooling designs, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.
• Cost Control: Assist in managing budgets for tooling projects, focusing on cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Safety Standards: Ensure all tools and equipment comply with safety regulations and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment, specifically in plastics and mold design.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with injection molding machinery and processes.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, precision, and adherence to specifications.
