Job Description
The digital team create and deliver the digital experience of Ampol Group's brands to power better journeys for our customers. We unify customer experience across physical and digital channels, build and deliver products where technology meets our customers – web, app, and retail.

An omnichannel strategy for customers; integrating our physical and digital channels for a unified customer experience
Product Managed Digital experiences that establish deeper connections and meaningful interactions
Human-Centred Design for Customer and User Experience
Centres of Excellence for the digital ecosystems where technology meets our customers - across Retailing, Loyalty Apps, and Websites
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll build, develop, enhance, maintain and support solutions that support the Ampol’s groups digital assets and customer facing technology. You’ll work closely with the business users and other TDD team members to ensure our solutions are fit for purpose and available when needed. As a senior member of the software engineering practice, you provide thought leadership through coaching and mentoring to the wider team.

You will have the opportunity to

Own the creation of component design for larger solutions
Own the delivery of the technical components of the solution, all the way through to production
Provide technical expertise within the Software Engineering team
Contribute to development of standards and best practices
Keep current with technology and industry changes and contribute to discussion to improve existing solutions
Mentor and coach peers and juniors in the wider team
Contribute to the Software Engineering Community of Practice as well as DevSecOps, to ensure a broad organizational perspective and practice
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to Z

Prior development experience in Cloud technologies, preferably Azure. Function App development and support. Net/C# development is desired, Typescript/NodeJS is a plus but not required.
Experience in database design – with considerations around scalability, reliability, and security.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including debugging, performance optimisation, and root cause analysis.
Ability to explain complexity and influence technical and non-technical team towards simplicity
Agile software development – SCRUM/Sprint based
Secure coding practices e.g. DevSecOps, participate in code reviews, source code management (GitHub), infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)

The base salary range for this role is $120,000.00 to $145,000.00 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
