Job Description
Bureau Veritas is looking for an Analyst 1 to join our Laboratory team in Edmonton. In this role, you will perform sample preparation and analytical testing while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with established procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform sample preparation and analytical testing according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Review daily workload and organize tasks to meet turnaround times
Prepare standards and reagents as required
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
Ensure accurate documentation of all laboratory activities
Identify and report any deviations, non-conformances, or technical issues
Meet client quality requirements and turnaround time expectations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
Support audits and follow all Quality and Health & Safety policies
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Science or a related field, or equivalent laboratory experience
Experience working in a laboratory environment is an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently
Good computer skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
Working Conditions
Fast-paced laboratory environment
Standing for extended periods
Repetitive tasks requiring focus and precision
Overtime or shift work may be required
Occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs)
Handling of hazardous materials following established safety procedures
