Kannada Teacher

Full Job Description
We are looking for Tutors / Teachers in Kannada who can provide an enriching learning environment which takes care of the language developmental needs of the children placed under his /her care. He / She should also be a team player, acting as a role model for the entire team of teachers by exemplifying the right values and code of conduct while planning and executing sessions in an interactive manner with children and should also be able to interact well with parents to help them understand the progress of the child.

The sessions will be conducted through online medium only and the right candidate will need to be adequately computer literate to be able to discharge their responsibilities effectively.

Timings : 5 pm – + pm, Mon – Sat. In case the teacher would like to opt for lesser working hours, it may be accommodated on a case-to-case basis.

The medium of instruction will be English, hence candidate will need to have good English language skills in addition to language being taught.

Role & Responsibilities

· Ensures that the lesson plans and activities are planned in advance

· Execute the sessions as per the curriculum planned

· Ensure that the sessions are interactive and interesting to achieve key learning milestones.

· Ensures that sessions are started and completed in a timely fashion. Any miss / change in schedule should be communicated to the Curriculum Head atleast 2 days in advance to allow for alternate planning of sessions.

· Maintains required reports and records for every child in the class

· Play a key role in enhancing the appeal of the class with age-appropriate displays, learning resources and fun and enriching activities.

· Is well versed with the company policies and ensures that the policies are adhered to at all times

· Ensures that regular and relevant communication is sent out to parents as required.

· Ensures that the lesson Plan (post approval from Curriculum Head) is implemented to keep children constructively occupied during the class.

· Ensures that observations and assessments of children are carried out regularly.

· Notifying Curriculum Head of any areas of concern

· Interacting with parents to discuss child’s progress and other needs during PTMs and on need basis

Qualifications

· Any Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma in Teachers Training or equivalent

Experience & Skills Required

· Minimum 2-5 years of language teaching experience for children in the age group of 6 to 16

· Experience in ICSE / CBSE / State Board language syllabus

· Should be proficient in teaching Kannada

· Good Communication & presentation skills, both oral and written and proficiency in English

· Good Computer skills including MS Office and internet knowledge

Salary: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
