Our Pet Specialty Team has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, innovative and experienced Key Account Manager with excellent stakeholder relationship skills and commercial acumen to join the Pet Care Category on a full-time, permanent basis.


This position incorporates all aspects of Key Account Management including the development and execution of the Business Development Plan, and the strategic investment of trade spend.


A day in the life…


Joining the team, you will see you make key contributions to the success of the Pet Speciality Channel with the successful management of your customer portfolio.


Your responsibilities will also include:

Developing and implementing a clear strategy and business plan to deliver on account/channel objectives
Maximising the distribution opportunities of the Purina Specialty range and optimising in-store layout and positioning
Managing the execution, communication and review of promotional strategies utilising key initiatives to maximise the visibility of the portfolio
Forecast ownership for designated customers, review promotional ROI, and recommend improvements.
Developing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and key accounts to achieve business objectives
Completing regular market updates and insights for the Specialist Channel
Conducting analysis of regular pricing reviews & providing recommendations

To succeed in the role, you will ideally have the following attributes:

Proven key account management experience working in the Pet and/or Vet industry.
A solution focus and the courage and creativity to push the boundaries to achieve desired outcomes for the business and the customer.
An analytical mindset as you deep dive into performance indicators and drive improvements in business processes and results
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Show strong collaboration and success with cross-functional teams
Commercial acumen and a history of building successful relationships with your customers and stakeholders
A degree qualification (preferred)
