Kimi Ora Specialist School
Teacher Aide - Grade BC -Lower Hutt (asap) and Wellington Region(2026)
Permanent, Part time, Term time only
Kimi Ora is a specialist school for students aged 5-21 who have very high complex, medical, intellectual and physical needs. Our Base school is situated in Naenae and we currently have five satellites within the Lower Hutt and Wellington regions.
We are looking to appoint a permanent Teacher Aide within the Lower Hutt region starting as soon as possible. We are also looking at appointing in the Wellington Region starting in 2026. Please indicate which position you are applying for in your application.
Hours would be from 8.30 am or + am to 3pm (27 hours, 30 minutes or 30 hours/week) with an hourly rate between $27.34/hour to $33.23/hour dependant on previous experience.

Ability to work in a transdisciplinary team which includes other Teacher Aides, Teachers and Therapists
Knowledgeable and comfortable in working across diverse cultures.

Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain high-trust relationships with students and staff members.
