Position Overview - Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide:
The Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide assists the cook in meal preparation and service, plate food according to set policies and procedures, and maintains kitchen cleanliness to health standards. The ideal candidate is punctual, able to follow instructions, perform routine tasks daily, and interact positively and tactfully with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be able to follow oral and written instructions, complete all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills, and adhere to safety precautions. Candidates with a high school diploma, specialized food service training, ServSafe certification and/or Food Handler’s card are preferred. Compliance with COVID-1+ Vaccination Policies is also required wherever applicable. The candidate must be able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods, and be comfortable working around food and cleaning products. Living in the service area is a necessity.
