Job description
The Mint is hiring a Manufacturing Helper who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Operations, the Manufacturing Helper is responsible for perform packaging, telling, upsetting, topping, power sawing, sorting, material handling and quality checks as required using Roll & Wrap, ATL “Brinks” machines and other related equipment.
This opening is to be filled on a continuous operation and/or shift work basis.
Qualifications:
Language Requirements
• English proficiency is essential. Bilingualism is considered an asset
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent
Additional qualifications:
Skills and Abilities
• Manual dexterity skills
• Demonstrated skill in following instructions and prioritizing multiple activities and tasks
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and tactfully
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including cooperation and collaboration with colleagues and supervisors
• Basic computer skills to retrieve information
• Demonstrated skill in the operation of material handling and related equipment
• Ability to lift twenty-five (25) to thirty (30) pounds and to stand or sit for long periods of time throughout shift
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shift
• Ability to troubleshoot and work in a team environment
• Ability to comprehend both verbal and written instructions
• Ability to maintain a high level of housekeeping
• Detail orientated and ability to maintain a high rate of accuracy
Knowledge
• Knowledge of basic Health & Safety principles and best practices
• Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts, basic reading comprehension and mathematics skills
• Material handling in a lean manufacturing environment

We are hiring for 4 each for part time and full time kitchen helper positions starting as soon as possible.
Job duties:
keep food preparation areas clean.
- clean kitchen equipment and appliances.
- clean benchtops, floors, ovens and ranges.
- receive, lift, handle and store food deliveries.must be able to lift upto 50 lbs
- retrieve food items as requested by chefs
