LV is a new ******** 30-seat cocktail and dining conceptopening April 2026 in Toronto. The restaurant focuses on a refined but approachable food menu paired with a serious cocktail program.
We are seeking an ambitious Kitchen Lead / Working Head Chefwho wants the opportunity to help build a kitchen from the ground up and grow with the restaurant.
This role is ideal for a Sous Chef or experienced Line Cook ready to step into their first leadership position.
About the Role
This is a hands-on cooking position. The Kitchen Lead will be actively working the line during service while also overseeing kitchen organization, prep, and food quality.
You will work closely with the owner to develop and execute a focused menu that complements a cocktail-forward concept.
LV is a small restaurant with a tight team, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in both cooking and leading a small kitchen team.
Responsibilities
Lead the kitchen during service while actively cooking on the line
Execute dishes during busy service periods
Assist in developing and refining menu items
Manage prep lists and kitchen organization
Maintain food quality and consistency
Assist with ordering and inventory management
Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained
Follow all food safety regulations
Train and support kitchen staff as the team grows
Qualifications
2–5+ years kitchen experience in restaurants
Culinary diploma from a recognized institution (such as George Brown College) or equivalent professional kitchen experience
Strong experience working the line during busy service
Organizational and time management skills
Positive leadership and team mindset
Passion for food and hospitality
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cookis considered an asset but is not required.
