We are Indias first cat cafe situated in the cozy nook of Andheri, Mumbai!

Cat Caf Studio is open to cat lovers and enthusiasts every week from Tuesdays to Sundays between 12 PM 10 PM

Position Summary:

As the Kitchen Operations Manager at Cat Caf Studio in Mumbai, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the kitchens daily operations. You will ensure the smooth functioning of the Kitchen, maintain high-quality customer service, manage the staff, and contribute to the business's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including opening and closing procedures, cash counter operations, and maintaining daily expenses.

- Oversee the proper handling of cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to cash handling policies.

- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems and ensure they function correctly.

- Collaborate with the Cafe Managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and documentation.

- Support senior management in building a highly functional hourly team that shares a common vision and values surrounding the overall success of the Cafe.

2. Staff Management and Training:

- Hire, train, and supervise chefs, kitchen assistants, servers, and support staff.

- Schedule shifts and manage kitchen employee work hours to ensure adequate staffing levels.

- Provide the team feedback to enhance employee performance and customer service.

- Responsible for the running and supervision of food preparation to ensure that food quality standards are met and delivered to customers/clients

- Ensure that the operations team adheres to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene standards

- Ability to engage with guests regarding the main goal of the cafe- adoptions.

3. Customer Service:

- Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, ensuring a positive experience at the cafe.

- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback regarding F&B promptly and effectively.

- Suggest new menu items based on customers" preferences and feedback.

- Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers.

- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement strategies to improve overall service quality.

- Build/maintain rapport with walk-ins/regulars, explore and expand networking with guests to source more potential regulars/supporters.

4. Inventory and Supply Management:

- Manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and cafe supplies.

- Receiving delivered caf supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.

- Maintain relationships and place orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of goods.

- Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize waste and maintain cost control.

5. Financial Management:

- Monitor and manage the kitchens financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.

- Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as sales reports, and inventory reports.

- Implement strategies to increase revenue, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.

6. Marketing and Promotion:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies to attract and retain new customers.

- Participate in community events, partnerships, and collaborations to enhance brand visibility and reach.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in cafe or restaurant management, preferably supervisory or managerial.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective staff and customer interaction.

- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including quality control and safety standards.

- Willingness to learn how to manage financial aspects, such as budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.

- Willingness to learn inventory management systems and software.

- Passion for animals, particularly cats, and a commitment to promoting the cafe's mission.

Job Type: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
