Geotechnical Laboratory Technician
Description:
Kamit Group is currently searching for a Geotechnical Laboratory Technician to join our engineering Edmonton’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the long-term development and management of the team, clients and related business development, oversight on technical quality, and delivery on projects including design, review, and project management.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform lab material testing (soil, asphalt and concrete), site concrete and inspection, using nuclear gauge, data collection and general geotechnical work supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· CCIL Certification (Must)
· Diploma in a Civil Engineering technology program (or equivalent) or completion of 2 yrs in a Civil Engineering degree program.
· Relevant experience: minimum 2 years
SKILLS:
Knowledge of industrial, and municipal undertakings. Must be able to:
Read and interpret working drawings and blueprints.
Plan and prioritize work.
Write basic reports.
Effectively deal with and get willing cooperation from others in the job sites.
Communicate fluently in oral and written English.
MUST present and submit a police name/criminal record check. This is required by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission for all workers handling the nuclear gauge.
Must be punctual, possess a valid Alberta driver’s license, and a pair of safety boots. Willing to travel to various job sites that may be assigned.
