Job Description
GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for clean up of the vessel and surrounding ground.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities:
• Will often clean and prepare various areas of the shipyard
• Moving and discarding of trash from the vessel and other areas.
• General cleaning tasks involved in the maintenance of buildings and job site.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by using solvents.
• Landscaping of facility including mowing, weed eating, edging.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: General knowledge of the craft they are assisting is preferred. Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time including but not limited to standing, walking, squatting, and stooping.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Minimum of 6 months' experience working in a shipyard and/or manufacturing environment is preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Must be minimum of 18 years old to apply.
