Asphalt Plant Labourer
Knelsen Sand and Gravel Ltd. provides premier road construction, concrete, and precast products and services throughout Alberta, including Cold Lake, Grande Prairie, Peace River, High Level, La Crete, Edmonton, Red Deer, Balzac and Calgary.
Who We Are Looking For, and What We Have to Offer:
Our team is looking for a motivated Asphalt Plant Labourer to assist with day-to-day operations at our asphalt plant. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Previous experience in asphalt or plant operations is an asset but not required. This is a full time seasonal position. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:

Responsibilities:
Assist with the loading and unloading of materials.
Support plant operators in maintaining smooth production operations.
Assist with routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment to ensure optimal operation.
Conduct general housekeeping and cleanup around the plant.
Help monitor equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs.
Perform other tasks as assigned to support plant operations.
Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience in asphalt production, construction, or plant operations is an asset.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Mechanical aptitude for performing basic maintenance on plant equipment.
Have a valid driver's license and driver’s abstract according to company policy.
Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and travel, with crews, as projects and locations may vary throughout the summer.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
As this is a safety sensitive position, pre-employment drug screening is in effect.
