DoD consulting firm is looking for a Lead Accountant. In this role, your responsibilities revolve around managing daily accounting functions for government clients. This includes financial reporting and analysis, general ledger reconciliation, audit and tax assistance, creating internal controls/policies, etc.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days of on-site work at their office located in Colorado Springs. Position offers a salary range of 80k-120k depending on experience.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 10 years accounting experience
- DoD contracting experience
- Knowledge/understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)
- Proficiency in using Deltek Costpoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA degree
- Active CPA certification
