Lead Agricultural Consultant Business Development Mana

Tasks Include:

Developing partnerships and business agreements with Agricultural Suppliers and distributors both in Australia and in SE Asia;
Establishing trial work with potential customers to provide clear evidence of product efficacy in different crop types;
Preparing reports and advising on regulatory compliance and environmental management to ensure environment sustainability;
Collecting and analysing data and samples of produce, feed, soil and other factors affecting production;
· Advising Farmers and Farm Managers on techniques for improving the production of crops and livestock, and alternative agricultural input options;

· Advising farmers on issues such as livestock and crop disease, control of pests and weeds, soil improvement, animal husbandry and feeding programs;

· Advising farmers, agricultural businesses, rural industries and government on the production, processing and distribution of farm products;

· Visiting Growers and Agri Inputs Suppliers in Queensland to understand challenges in crop production and provide best solutions techniques to improve production.

· -Regular travel to visit farms in Queensland and in international markets visits across the Asia-Pacific region.

· Collecting in field data on soil, irrigation, weather and plant health to advise farmers on ways to improve crop production and improve water use efficiencies;

· Use infield data to monitor plant and crop health and plant shortages and use data to provide advice and reports to farmers

· Monitoring and identifying changes and stresses in crops to work with farmers to identify solutions for identified issues;

· Monitoring and documenting plant health to develop procedures and techniques in relation to fertilizers use and optimisation;

· Advise farmers on optimal growing conditions and nutrients usage for specific crops;

· Advise farmers on soil monitoring and scheduling practices to optimise yield

Qualification

Skill Level: 1 A Bachelor level or a Master level qualification in Agricultural Science.
At least 5 years experience in fertiliser or bio-stimulant sales and customer management.
A Masters degree in Horticulture / Agriculture
Ability to analyse data, assess farm conditions and derive actionable insights for optimising agricultural practices.
Experience working with farmers to develop on-farm solutions that maximise crop yields.
Strong understanding and practical experience with horticultural and broadacre cropping;
Have good understanding of various fertilizers and fertigation methods types
Have strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven experience in key markets in Asia including India, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
