Role Overview
One of the law firms is seeking a high-energy Lead AI Platform Architect & Technical Leader to improve and scale our AI platform. This role will be to develop and define spaces, use cases, and modules, and will serve as the primary technology leader driving AI integration into law firm workflows, knowledge processes, and backend operations. The leader will also champion and shape law firm’s AI platform product, taking it from concept to a robust, client-ready legal-tech solution.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect, design, and oversee implementation of the AI platform, including core services, integrations, and reusable components.
• Collaborate with lawyers, knowledge managers, and product owners to identify, design, and prioritize Blueprint Law spaces, use cases, and modules.
• Lead end-to-end technical delivery for AI features embedded into law firm workflows, document processes, research, and operations.
• Define and own the technical roadmap for Developers and Blueprint, aligning with legal-tech vision and client needs.
• Establish best practices for AI/ML engineering, experimentation, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring in a legal context.
• Design and implement secure, scalable integrations with law firm systems (DMS, KMS, practice management, billing, and other backend tools).
• Act as the internal and external technology evangelist for the platform—explaining, demonstrating, and marketing AI capabilities to stakeholders and clients.
• Work closely with business and product teams to translate client requirements into clear technical specifications and deliverables.
• Mentor and guide engineers and data/ML specialists, setting standards for code quality, architecture, and documentation.
• Continuously assess new AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to keep platform at the forefront of innovation in legal tech.
Desired Qualifications
• Prior experience in legal technology, enterprise SaaS, knowledge management, or workflow automation products is a strong plus.
• Exposure to law firm operations, legal research tools, or document automation platforms preferred.
• Experience in a product-led or startup environment, taking products from concept to production and scale.
• Demonstrated track record of technical leadership, architecture ownership, or leading small engineering teams.
