About the role

We’re seeking a Lead Assessment Solutions Officer to join our Assessment Solutions team.

As a Lead Assessment Solutions Officer, you’ll provide effective line management to a team of Assessment Solutions Officers (ASO), ensuring that the team delivers high quality, effective, appealing assessments across products in a consistent manner and in line with our regulatory and compliance requirements. You’ll also support the team of ASO’s with technical and process queries, and in performance managing subject matter experts.

In addition, you’ll work closely to support the Assessment Solutions Manager in ensuring the team operates successfully.

How you’ll make an impact:
• Ensuring high quality assessments are produced as per assessment specification, assessment strategy and qualification specification
• Ensuring all internal processes are followed and maintained, identifying and carrying out continuous improvement activities where appropriate
• Oversee the production of valid and reliable assessments for allocated assessments and qualifications
• Line Managing a team of ASO’s, including managing resource and performance, providing coaching, mentoring and personal development, ensuring outputs of the team are compliant with regulatory requirements, and sharing best practice
• Leading on the organisation and planning of key assessment activities throughout the year to ensure Assessment Associates are fully trained, standardised and performance managed

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:
• Experience of qualification, assessment, and curriculum design principles
• Evidence of significant experience of dealing with externally set and marked assessments
• Experience of project management or leading a process
• Evidence of previous line management
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
