Job Description
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment while leading a team of Camp Attendants.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in housekeeping/ janitorial, remote camp operations, who can manage schedules, maintain standards, and step into operational roles when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise, train, and support Camp Attendants
Assign daily tasks and monitor performance
Mentor new hires and support onboarding
Report performance, attendance, and safety concerns
Collaborating and providing support to the Camp Manager
Operations & Scheduling
Assist with staff scheduling and shift coverage
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to schedule
Act as point of contact for Camp Attendant team
Inventory & Supplies
Conduct weekly inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and PPE
Coordinate restocking and maintain organized storage
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Perform daily inspections of rooms and common areas
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly
Cleaning Duties
Clean and maintain common areas, bathrooms, and living quarters
Perform deep cleans during shift changes and light cleans mid-shift
Laundry services including washing and storing linens
Waste removal and sanitation
Emergency & Support Duties
Support OH + S program by maintaining PPE, SDS and assist with all onsite incidents.
Assist in kitchen operations when required (dishwashing, food prep, cleaning)
Administrative Duties
Maintain daily logs and cleaning checklists
Track hours for payroll and compliance via Connecteam
Address resident concerns professionally
Work Schedule
14 days on / 14 days off rotation
12 hour workdays
Approximately 168 hours per 28-day cycle
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Wage: $20-22/hr
Overtime paid after 160 hours per cycle per our averaging permit
Travel provided via shuttle to and from camp if you live in Winnipeg.
Additional 24 hours paid (OT rate) during off-cycle for administrative duties
Qualifications
Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or remote camp operations
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong Computer Skills a must
Experience with Google Drive + Smart Sheet is strongly preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work long shifts in a remote environment
Knowledge of health and safety standards

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
