Who should apply:Super creative and love exploring new ideas.Passionate about all things Fashion from Silhouettes to Patterns to Colours.Enjoy challenges—Embroidery is not easy!Remarkable eye for prints and print development.Skilled in design—whether on paper, laptop, or fabric.Experienced in designing and developing new products from A to Z.Able to multitask and love being hands-on (we are a small team where everyone "does" rather than “delegates”).Super organized and detail-oriented in documentation, quality checks, and general workflow.Ambitious, enterprising, and grounded.Key Responsibilities:Design Development:Create and develop trend-setting designs for sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, shararas, kurtas, and contemporary fusion wear.Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and execute seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and market trends.Silhouette and Construction:Design and refine garment silhouettes for the desired fit and style.Oversee garment construction from initial sketch to final product, ensuring high-quality standards.Pattern Making:Develop accurate patterns for various garment types, ensuring precision in measurements and fit.Work closely with sampling and production teams to ensure correct pattern translation.Embroidery Design:Design intricate embroidery patterns using various techniques to enhance garment appeal.Collaborate with artisans and vendors to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.Digital and Foil Prints:Create digital and foil print designs that complement the collection.Work with printing partners to ensure accurate reproduction on fabrics.Budget Management:Manage design budgets, including sourcing cost-effective materials and tracking expenses related to design development.Quality Control:Maintain a keen eye for detail and ensure the quality and craftsmanship of the final products meet the brand's standards.Trend Analysis and Research:Stay updated with the latest fashion trends and market demands.Conduct market research to identify new design opportunities and techniques.Team Collaboration:Work with merchandising, marketing, and production teams for successful product launches.Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.Specific Qualifications:8-10 years of experience in designing Women's Indian clothing.Worked with Fashion Houses and Designers.Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.Strong expertise in silhouette design, garment construction, and pattern making.Proficient in embroidery design and creating digital and foil prints.Understanding of fabric properties and their application in Indian wear.Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and MS Office.Strong sketching and illustration skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in English and HindiA strong portfolio showcasing design expertise and creativity in women's Indian clothing
