In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:
Design the data architecture that supports efficient data processing and analysis on the Google CloudPlatform.
Developing data pipelines to enable the smooth flow of data from various sources to the desired destinations, ensuring data quality, reliability, and governance.
Designing and implementing complex high throughput distributed batch and/or real time solutions
Liaise with customer facing groups as needed to understand client and customer needs in a rapidly evolving environment
Make design decisions that ensure effective secure scalable convergent flexible and manageable solutions of high standards
Ensure that the IT solution will satisfy the business needs in a cost effective resilient and operable fashion
Ensure that chosen architectural solutions are convergent in order to take advantage of internal and external needs along with
To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
10+ years of experience as a data engineer delivering data warehouse solutions with at least 4+ years of experience leading large technical teams.
Experience with designing and implementing complex high throughput distributed batch and/or real time solutions using BigQuery, DataProc, Dataflow, Datprep, Composer, Pub/Sub, Apache Beam, Airflow, Kubernetes, Python, Java.
Highly demonstrated experiences preferred in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow & Composer
Solid knowledge of data structures, data model and system design with a focus on reliable high throughput batch and streaming solutions.
GCP (or AWS) certification is highly desirable
Good working knowledge of integration tools
Has a thorough understanding of the DEVOPS Product Life Cycle.
Working in a Agile development environment
Demonstrated technical and management knowledge and/or degree qualified.
Technical application knowledge gained at leading vendors and/or general market.
Experience with Data Infrastructure & Data Warehouse Systems essential
Self-Driven & ability to lead teams
