West Town Daycare is hiring a Lead Infant Teacher!
We are looking for the right candidate to join our team of passionate early educators! West Town Daycare is a play-based childcare center in the Humboldt Park/West Town neighborhood. Our biggest goal is to provide children endless opportunities to play, learn, and develop healthy social and emotional skills. The right candidate will be reliable, kind, and ENERGETIC!
Some responsibilities include but not limited to are:
Observe and document children's learning through our Brightwheel application and portfolios.
Weekly lesson Plans
Communicate with parents via Brightwheel
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment.
Meet the individual needs of the children within your classroom.
Create and maintain a positive learning environment.
Requirements for a Lead Teacher:
Associate's degree with 6 semester hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six or a current CDA.
Be able to work closely with other team members and communicate in a kind and professional manner.
CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days.
You must be a qualified lead teacher with 1 year of direct classroom experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
