Job Description
Schedule/Location: Year-round, full-time, on-site at the Miccosukee Employment and Training Center (Miccosukee Reservation). Remote work is not available.
Position Overview
The Lead Instructor & Program Teacher supports adult and youth education services by providing academic instruction and supporting college and career readiness for Miccosukee students.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required (Teacher Certification preferred)
• Experience working with adolescents and adults
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Reliable attendance and ability to work full-time on-site
Key Responsibilities
• Provide instruction and tutoring in core subjects (math, reading, and language) for Adult Education and Higher Education students
• Support Higher Education students with coursework, study skills, and academic success planning
• Coordinate and teach within the Summer Youth Program (career readiness, job training, mentoring, field/ college trips, and Everglades conservation activities)
• Maintain accurate, confidential student records and contact information
• Other duties as assigned to support program and grant requirements
