Job Description
What You'll Do:
In this role you will be responsible for providing effective leadership and direction that enables the Controlling Team to deliver valuable financial analysis, reporting and advisory services to the business.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Management Accountants to achieve month end reporting deadlines, departmental goals and ensure compliance.
Analysis: Perform ongoing analysis of key financial positions, reports, and processes within the Controlling responsibilities.
Month End Responsibilities: Responsible for calculating and reporting on complex financial positions, which are key to organisational success.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and improve overall efficiency.
Reporting: Improve, prepare and present reports on financial performance, and other key metrics for various stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety
standards related to inventory management and internal controls.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Accounting or similar (CPA or CA required)
Proven leadership experience in a finance function
Experience in a complex sales and distribution organisation in a Management Accountant / Controller role
Strong interpersonal skills which enable you to partner with employees at all levels of the organisation
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Experience with Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI advantageous
Logical thinking and problem-solving skills, together with a passion for working with manual data sources
