What does People operations team do?

People operations team is responsible to manage all aspects of HR including Payroll, Documentation and administration. They will empower employees and facilitate the day-to-day work life. They are considered to be a business function within human resource that focuses on employee development, engagement and retention.

What does your day look like at Freightify?
• Process and manage payroll for all employees
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, benefits, and personal information
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
• Support the onboarding process, including conducting background checks and verifying references
• Manage employee documentation, including employment contracts, offer letters, and termination agreements
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
• Monitor and maintain HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction
• Continuously review and improve HR processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Coordinate playbooks for annual HR activities such as compensation planning and open enrolment
• Ensure the successful delivery of programmes and projects to plan
• Conduct employee engagement activities.

What do we look for in you?
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 5+ years of experience in HR operations, with a focus on payroll, documentation, and administration
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, including employment law and benefits administration
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
