Job Description
The lead teacher is accountable for creating a safe and healthy environment where children can thrive physically, cognitively, and emotionally in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and NAEYC standards.
High-quality educational instruction utilizing the Creative Curriculum must be consistently implemented to prepare children for kindergarten.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: paperwork such as child observations, lesson planning, quarterly assessments, parent-teacher conferences, home visits, attendance records, and meal documentation.
Additional duties encompass lifting, diapering, toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing.
Education Requirements: A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with a Gateways Level 5; maximum qualifications include a Masters of Arts in ECE with a Gateways Level 6.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
