This jop posting is specific for applicants located in Shoreline, interested in teaching our classes at elementary schools in Shoreline. We also teach classes in Seattle, so if the applicant is able to teach in both locations, that would benefit their application.
Coding NP is looking for teachers to help the next generation of gamers, artists, and programmers learn the basics of coding! Join our awesome team of instructors in teaching girls and boys aged 6 to 12 in local after-school classes all across Shoreline and Seattle.
What we do:
Coding NP specializes in teaching elementary-aged students the joy of coding by helping them to develop their own projects: video games, animations, anything they want! With a focus on fun, our team aims to get kids excited about programming, confident in their ability to succeed by trial-and-error, and ready to continue learning on their own after the class is over.

Our instructors have a wide variety of backgrounds and interests: students, web developers, dancers, game designers, stage managers, you name it. We're an eclectic group, but we all share a sense of fun, enthusiasm for learning, and a passion for helping children discover and grow.
As a company from Seattle, social and environmental awareness is in our roots. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint by minimizing travel distances, and limiting waste by being as paperless as we can. We provide scholarships to those in need, and make sure that each student in our classes feels comfortable and welcome. We understand the importance of giving every child the chance to learn about coding, so that this generation may grow into one where today's industry disparities don't exist.
What we're looking for:
We're hiring Lead Teachers to work with kids in after-school programs.
The ideal candidate has:
- Some form of teaching or tutoring experience
- A love for programming, video games, or technology
- Passion and enthusiasm for educating children
Work days are flexible! We have classes Monday through Friday and you can teach as many or as few classes as your schedule allows (we require employees commit to a minimum of 2 days per week). Our class hours are usually held for 2 hour sessions between 1pm - 5:30pm depending on the school. Classes are held at Elementary and Middle Schools in the Greater Seattle Area.
