Job Description
Description: Must have ability to set up welding machines with minimal supervision or guidance.
Must be capable and have working knowledge of basic set-up and verification, adjustment, and operation of the welding equipment and hand tools.
Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
Welds components in flat, vertical, positions.
Removes rough spots from work piece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
Ability to inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using precision measuring tools
instruments.
Ability to deburr and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of welding techniques, tools and equipment.
Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Able to read and interpret blueprints.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of welding techniques in the following areas: electric arc, MIG and TIG and Oxy-Acetylene and potentially other types of weld based on project needs.
Knowledge regarding proper fillers for weld jobs.
Highly skilled in the use of MIG, FCAW & TIG welding processes on a variety of Stainless Steel, and Carbon Steel.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 60.0 – 84.0 per week
Work Location: On the road
