The Opportunity:
2 x Full-Time | Ongoing contract of employment.
EDL 1-5 $110,242 - $123,470 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Moorabbin Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.
The Bachelor of Nursing and Diploma of Nursing at Holmesglen Institute are ANMAC-accredited, approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), and lead to eligibility for national registration. Delivered at the Moorabbin campus, the Bachelor of Nursing offers practice-focused learning through simulated laboratories, immersive clinical scenarios, and a world-class simulation facility incorporating virtual reality.
Holmesglen Institute is seeking two full-time Lecturers with demonstrated mental health nursing expertise to join the Bachelor of Nursing program. Suited to practitioner-educators with substantial clinical and teaching experience, the roles involve delivering and coordinating subjects using evidence-based approaches that support high-quality student outcomes, while contributing to curriculum development, continuous improvement, and industry-aligned nursing education.
As a Lecturer, you will:
Deliver and coordinate undergraduate nursing subjects, drawing on extensive mental health nursing experience.
Support and mentor students through complex clinical concepts and professional practice expectations.
Collaborate with academic teams, clinical partners, and professional bodies to strengthen industry relevance.
Apply advanced, evidence-based teaching, assessment, and simulation methodologies while embedding contemporary mental health frameworks into curriculum and learning activities.
To be successful, you’ll have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with substantial clinical experience in mental health nursing.
A Bachelor of Nursing and a postgraduate qualification (Master’s or equivalent) in nursing or a relevant specialty.
Demonstrated experience teaching or lecturing within undergraduate nursing or tertiary education settings.
Strong knowledge of contemporary nursing education, including curriculum design, assessment, simulation, and digital learning technologies.
WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
