Job description, work day and responsibilities

Role & responsibilities
• Legal Advisory & Compliance
• Advise on corporate and commercial transactions (e.g., supply agreements, third-party contracts)
• Ensure compliance with Indian laws, including excise, goods and services, environmental, and licensing regulations
• Maintain liaison with government authorities and regulatory bodies (Excise Department, FSSAI, etc.)similar to the outlined duties at Bacchus Enterprises in Delhi
• Drafting & Documentation
• Draft and review agreements, MOUs, NDAs, vendor contracts, and legal correspondence
• Litigation & Dispute Management
• Handle litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution; manage risks and develop defense strategies
• Represent the company in court or coordinate with external advocates.
• Travel & Representation
• Travel as needed to hearings or meetings across Punjab—or India—up to 50% of the time
• General Legal Support
• Provide legal oversight across departments (HR, procurement, marketing) as needed
• Engage and manage external counsel, tracking litigation costs and strategy—consistent with FMCG industry practices
