We're on the lookout for an experienced Legal Cashier who is ready to join our dynamic team, supporting the firm in maintaining compliance and delivering high service levels through precise and timely cashiering duties.
This role is a unique chance to contribute to client transactions not just in the UK but also across our international offices.
Our Cashiers Team, located in our Leeds office, is instrumental in managing client-related transactions across all our UK and International offices. Under the leadership of the Cashiers Manager and the guidance of the Team Leader, supported by two Senior Cashiers, our team collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including fee earners and PAs, while also supporting operational Group Finance teams.
This position offers the opportunity to engage in system/process projects, providing valuable feedback and participating in the testing of changes. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that encourages progression and development.
The role of a Legal Cashier within our firm involves a diverse range of tasks including managing TT/CHAPS, BACS, and Faster payments, processing both client and office account payments and receipts, and supporting international office transactions in multiple currencies. Ensuring strict adherence to UK SRA Accounts Rules and their international equivalents is paramount, alongside participating in project work and software testing initiatives.
We're seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of Legal Cashier experience, a robust understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and VAT, and a proven track record in stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong IT skills, and potentially have knowledge of languages such as French, Arabic, or German, although this is not essential.
