Employment status: Casual
Classification: DKHAC Level 2
Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024
Salary range: $39.85 per hour (inclusive of 20% casual loading) + 13.5% superannuation
Multiple roles available.

About the role
Join our team at the Aquatic Centre and become a guardian of the waves! We are seeking vigilant and dynamic individuals to fill the role of Lifeguard. This role will ensure the health and well-being of the patrons of the facilities in the aquatic centre at all times.
Role accountabilities include:
Provide pool rescue and/or first aid attention when required.
Set up/pack up equipment for programs or events within the Centre.
Supervise the public in use of the aquatic facilities to ensure maximum safety and enjoyment for members, guests and user groups and to respond to customer queries re the use of the aquatic facilities.
Perform a range of other duties (as directed) within the level of the occupant’s skills, knowledge and experience in accordance with established policies, procedures and work practices.

You have an enthusiastic approach, willingness to learn and seek innovative solutions when faced with challenges.
Relevant Industry Qualifications are essential for this role. Qualifications required include:
Pool Lifeguard Certificate (Issued by Royal Life Saving Society)
Provide First Aid (HLTAID011).
Provide Basic Emergency Life Support (HLTAID010).
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (HLTAID009).
Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
Current Drivers Licence.
Whilst experience is preferred, we welcome applications from people who love working with range of different customers in a fun, team-based environment and who are ready to seek new knowledge.
We would ideally love it if you were available for up to 7 days to cover our existing shifts, however, also understand that sometimes life just happens. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, and we would also work with you for when you need your days off.
