About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.
As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. We also have plenty of ways for you to relax and stay active, with a gym, fitness classes, a golf simulator, and seasonal activities like snowshoeing and hiking. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. Your Impact
As a Light Duty Mechanic at Brucejack Mine, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet of light vehicles and equipment in top condition. Your hands-on expertise ensures we meet the highest standards for safety, reliability, and operational readiness—essential to the success of our team.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on light vehicles and equipment
Maintain systems including brakes, suspension, engine, climate control, and electrical
Complete oil changes, lubrications, and routine maintenance
Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications
Manage parts inventory and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Record maintenance activities and communicate findings with supervisors
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as an Automotive Equipment Mechanic
4+ years of experience with gasoline-powered mobile and stationary equipment
Experience maintaining ATVs, snowmobiles, and snow cats is an asset
Valid driver’s license
WHMIS and TDG certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work safely in close team environments and extreme weather
Your Work Environment
Location: Brucejack Mine, fly-in/fly-out remote camp
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Conditions: Cold weather, rugged terrain, close team quarters
Requirements: Pre-employment medical, drug& ******* screening, full PPE compliance
