Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests/responses.
• Organize and maintain case files and trial binders.
• Conduct factual research and investigation using various legal and non-legal resources.
• Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel as needed.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and trial logistics.
• Maintain and update databases and document management systems.
• Provide administrative support, including calendar management, billing, and expense tracking.
• Stay current with local, state, and federal court rules and procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Proven work experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Proficiency in legal research tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with electronic document management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with trial preparation and courtroom procedures.
• Knowledge of e-discovery tools and practices.
